Aad Guray Nameh is a mantra used to invoke the protective energy of the Universe. This shabad mantra is found on page 262 of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. It is the foremost stanza of Sukhmani Sahib, written by Guru Arjun Dev Ji, fifth Guru of the Sikhs. Each plant is associated with some or the other planet that are applied on the native’s body after performing a special yagya. These ayurvedic herbs are used to calm down the negative effects of planets and do destroy the defects of Vastu as well.

According to astrologers, Yagya is the most important ceremony to calm the planets and attain their auspicious results. Scholars have identified the plants and herbs used in yagna in various categories according to their relation with the planets. Wood used in the yagna is known as Idham. Not every wood can be used for this ceremony.
